서부지방산림청은 우선 산사태 취약지역 808개소와 사방댐 124개소에 대한 철저한 점검을 실시하고, 산사태 발생 우려지역 307개소에 대한 실태조사 용역을 추진한다. 특히 올해 총 135억 원이 투입되는 사방댐 10개소 구축, 계류보전사업 15km 등 사방사업을 우기 전에 전면 완료할 방침이다.
