(무안=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=전라남도와 전남도인재평생교육진흥원이 지역 청소년들의 국제적 감각을 키우기 위해 ‘2026년 글로벌 문화체험 캠프’ 참가자 80명을 모집한다.
전남 지역 중학교 2학년 학생을 대상으로 하는 이번 캠프는 오는 2027년 1월부터 2월까지 겨울방학 기간 중 약 4주 동안 영국에서 진행될 예정이다.
단순한 관광 위주의 해외 탐방에서 벗어나, 참가 학생들은 영국 현지 학교 수업에 직접 참여하고 홈스테이를 통해 현지 가정의 일상을 공유한다. 이를 통해 자연스럽게 영어 소통 능력을 키우고 세계적인 문화 식견을 넓힐 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
경제적 여건에 따른 교육 격차 해소를 위해 파격적인 지원책도 마련됐다. 전남도는 연수 비용의 70%를 지원하며, 사회적 배려 대상 학생에게는 비용 전액을 지원해 참여 문턱을 대폭 낮췄다.
또한, 내실 있는 연수를 위해 철저한 사전 교육 프로그램도 운영한다. 선발된 학생들은 오는 10월부터 12월까지 원어민 화상 수업 등을 통해 현지 생활에 필요한 기본 회화와 적응력을 기르게 된다.
