(나주=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=에너지ICT 전문 공기업 한전KDN이 에너지 AI 기술 기업인 크로커스와 손잡고 차세대 전기차 충전 인프라 생태계 구축에 속도를 낸다.
한전KDN은 지난 2월 27일 서울 강남구 크로커스 본사에서 ‘전기차 충전 인프라 및 에너지·전력ICT 분야 상호 협력을 위한 업무협약(MOU)’을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이날 협약식에는 박종현 한전KDN 탄소중립사업처장과 임다니엘지섭 크로커스 대표이사 등 양사 관계자들이 참석했다. 양사는 크로커스 쇼룸 견학을 시작으로 협약 배경 공유, 기술 협력 방안 논의 및 서명식 순으로 행사를 진행하며 적극적인 협력 의지를 다졌다.

양사는 협약을 통해 ▲EVC 인프라 서비스 사업 ▲통합발전소(VPP) 및 전기차 수요반응(EV-DR) 등 전력 유연화 자원 기능 고도화 ▲에너지 AI·빅데이터 기반의 사용량 예측 및 최적화 ▲자가소비형 태양광 사업 공동 발굴 등 폭넓은 분야에서 협력을 이어가기로 했다.
특히 실무 협의체를 구성해 시범 사업을 발굴하고, 향후 중장기 로드맵 수립과 해외 시장 공동 진출 전략까지 단계적으로 논의해 나갈 계획이다.
한전KDN 관계자는 “AI를 활용한 에너지 수요관리 분야에서 독보적인 기술력을 가진 크로커스와 협력하게 되어 기대가 크다”며, “한전KDN의 ‘CHA-ON(차온)’ 전기차 충전 시스템 운영 경험과 축적된 전력 ICT 역량을 바탕으로 AI 모델 실증 및 고도화를 추진할 것”이라고 밝혔다.
