13일 충주시에 따르면 김 팀장은 2월 말 퇴직하기로 하고, 전날부터 잔여 휴가를 소진 중이다.
김 팀장은 시 공식 유튜브 채널 ‘충TV’를 운영하며 짧고 강렬한 영상 콘텐츠로 화제를 모았다. 공공기관 채널로는 이례적으로 구독자 수가 100만명에 육박할 정도로 성공적으로 이끌면서 '공무원 인플루언서'로 불려왔다.
지난 2023년 말에는 임용 7년여 만에 6급까지 승진해 화제를 모았다.
시 관계자는 그의 퇴직과 관련 “뚜렷한 향후 계획을 언급하지는 않았다”며 “당분간 재충전의 시간을 가진 뒤 새 진로를 결정할 것으로 보인다”고 전했다.
그러면서 “예고 없이 갑작스럽게 사직 의사를 밝혀 내부적으로도 당황스러운 상황이다. 충TV를 이어갈 적임자를 물색 중”이라고 밝혔다.
